Our mission dictates how we do business, from our green building restorations and equity-focused business practices, to our investment in strong community partnerships. Ecotrust Events delivers 100% of event rental proceeds back to Ecotrust's nonprofit initiatives.

We believe business should be a force for good. Our venues drive real dollars into our local economy including regional farmers, ranchers, fishers, and caterers. We seek to create meaningful partnerships, distribute resources equitably, and help scale emerging food and hospitality businesses. More than 80% of the catering companies we work with are owned and operated by women and people of color, who have historically lacked equal access to business capital. Our procurement policy seeks to use our resources to invest in businesses owned by black, indigenous, and people of color.

Equity is an integral part of Ecotrust’s mission. Our work seeks to redress historic, systemic oppression and shift power, resources, and privilege. In our venues, we care deeply about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for all. Both of our buildings have multilingual signage, gender-inclusive facilities, and private, functional mother’s rooms. ADA compliance (and beyond) is a top priority. We’ve curated a delicious catering list that strives to reflect our diverse community. We offer generous discounts and offer venue grants to organizations advancing racial equity in our region through Community Grants.

Whether it’s the sustainable wood cladding the walls of the Redd, or the lush bioswales that ring the Ecotrust parking lot, our commitment to the environment is evident throughout our spaces. The Ecotrust Building is the nation’s first historic renovation to be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified. We are also Earth Advantage-certified. Rooftop solar panels supply much of our renewable energy. On-site recycling and composting come standard with each rental. Our experienced team offers a toolkit of strategies to minimize your event’s carbon footprint.

Sustainability is a key priority across our vendor partnerships, venue policies, and daily operations.
Many of our catering partners integrate sustainable practices into their operations, including sourcing ingredients locally and minimizing food waste through thoughtful menu planning and donations.
To support responsible waste management, our venues feature clear signage for trash, recycling, and compost, helping guests sort waste correctly.
We also encourage event planners to use our Sustainable Event Guide throughout the planning process. With a bit of extra preparation before, during, and after your event, you can significantly reduce its environmental impact.
